Our history
1970
The founder began the journey that would lead us to become a benchmark company in the Spanish market, thanks to the commercialization of live poultry.
1993
Acquisition of Avícola Subirats, the Group’s first breeding hen farm, with a capacity of 18,000 birds. The Subirats brand is consolidated in the national market.
1998
The second family generation joins the company. For five years, both generations worked side by side, combining experience with the energy and innovation of youth.
1999
A key year for our history: we acquired our first company dedicated to the rearing of future layers, with a capacity of 220,000 pullets per year, and CAS (Comercializació Avícola Subirats S.L.) was founded, marking a milestone in our growth and consolidation in the poultry sector.
2005
First expansion of the Vinallop farm, reaching a capacity of 30,000 breeding hens, incorporating the best layers on the market and differentiated feeding systems for roosters and hens.
2006
Avícola Sucer is created, expanding our production capacities in the rearing of future laying hens.
2008
Renovation of two buildings at Avícola Sucer, increasing rearing capacity to 540,000 pullets per year.
2010
We diversified into the swine sector, with an initial production capacity of 40,000 piglets per year.
2013
We incorporated Pecusvet, a company specialized in animal nutrition and feeding, into the Group. This integration allowed us to further consolidate the technical and productive aspects and open lines of technical consultancy for third parties.
2016
Renovation of the Avícola Subirats facilities in Vinallop, expanding capacity to 40,000 breeding hens and reaching a production of 7 million hatching eggs per year. Two new swine farms were also integrated, raising annual production to 90,000 piglets.
2017
Avícola Sucer made a strategic investment with the largest rearing aviary in Spain at the time. This project was featured on the cover of Selecciones Avícolas magazine (May 2017).

2019
We acquired Prolec, S.A., our first company-owned sow farm, featuring significant facility improvements.
In line with our environmental commitment, we installed more than 200 kW of photovoltaic panels across all our own farms.
2021
We expanded our swine capacity with the purchase of a second farm in the municipality of Torà.
2022 – 2023
We experienced progressive growth of 30% in poultry production, consolidating our position in the national market.
Investments 2024-2025
Expansion of the Avícola Subirats farm to become the largest independent breeder farm in Spain, with a capacity of 11.5 million hatching eggs. Purchase of a farm to expand the production of future layers in an aviary system; by 2026, Sucer will be capable of producing over 800,000 future laying hens, of which more than 40% will be from alternative systems. Renovation of the Torà farm to reach a capacity of 1,600 sows.
During 2025, Auravis Group joined the company, a slaughterhouse in the Alicante area specialized in the commercialization of free-range chickens, turkey, and slow-growing chicken.
